Alfred A. Pizzo

Alfred A. Pizzo passed away on August 13, 2025 at age 71. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies and Flyers, often cheering them on with great passion. Alfred worked at the local stadiums, where his love for the city’s teams was a natural fit. He also served his community through his work at the Naval Yard and later with the School District of Philadelphia, from which he proudly retired. Above all, Alfred treasured his role as a grandfather, taking immense pride in his granddaughters and the joy they brought to his life. He is the Loving Father of Ashley (William); Dear Poppy of Mia and Juliana; Beloved Brother of John (Anita) Pizzo, Anthony (Maryann) Pizzo and Mary (James) Voiro; Nephew of Virginia Cardo. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and cousins. His family will greet relatives and friends on THURSDAY morning from 9:00am to 10:00am at Stella Maris Church, 10th and Bigler Sts. Funeral Mass begins at 10:00am. Interment SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his memory to IgG4ward foundation for disease related research. Link can be found below.
