Alphonse Dieni

Alphonse Dieni passed away on August 17, 2026, at the age of 57.

Beloved son of the late John and Michelina (née Cassalia) Dieni. Loving brother of Donna (John) Gualtieri and Lisa (Doug) Hawkins. Dear nephew of Lucy (Louis) Belcastro and Marguerita Cassalia of Reggio Calabria, and the late Rose (Armand) Ventura, Mary Falcone, Joseph (Maria) Dieni, Pasquale (Florence) Dieni, Victoria Cassalia, Italia Cassalia, and Mimmo Cassalia. Al is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

Al graduated from SS. John Neumann High School in 1989 and continued his education at Saint Joseph’s University, earning a degree in Criminal Justice where he completed an apprenticeship with the Philadelphia District Attorney’s Office.

Al enjoyed golfing and bowling and remained a devoted fan of the Hallmark Movie Channel, especially during the Christmas season. His love for the holidays and the simple things that brought him happiness reflected the warmth of his personality.

Not long after college, Al began facing numerous health challenges and endured many operations throughout his life. Despite the many trials and tribulations, he encountered, Al never lost his sense of humor or upbeat personality. Even during the most difficult times, he found a way to remain positive and bring a smile to those around him.

A loving son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend, Al leaves behind a lasting example of courage, strength, and perseverance. To those who knew the challenges he endured, Al will always be remembered as a true warrior who faced life’s toughest moments with remarkable determination and humor. His memory will remain forever in the hearts of his family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Our Lady of Hope Parish, 700 Little Gloucester Road, Blackwood, NJ 08012. Funeral Mass will begin at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
