Amy Rogovin (formally Amelia, but she wasn’t formal, just VERY loving!!) of the William Penn House in Center City Phila. Passed away peacefully and comfortably on Monday, Octo0ber 9, 2023 at the age of 89, after a brief illness.
Amy was the best, most adoring mom to Laura and Caleb Rogovin. We were a team and were ALWAYS there for each other! She also very much treasured her friends and was devoted to her sister and parents who pre-deceased her.
At age 50, following a divorce, Amy completed a Master’s Degree in Library Science at Drexel University, that she’d begun 25 years prior. She had ALWAYS loved to read, so she became a children’s librarian with the Free Library of Philadelphia. She wanted to share her passion as many kids (especially her own!) as possible. She was loved by the staff and lots of kids at branches in Northeast Phila. She made the library a fun place to be!
Services were private. She will be greatly missed by her children, Laura and Caleb. She was a wonderful mom and human being!
