Aria Lenáe Aliek Hooks

It is with broken hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Aria Lenáe Aliek Hooks, age 5, of Philadelphia, PA. She passed away on June 22, 2026 surrounded by the love of her family.

Although her time with us was cut way too short, she touched the hearts of everyone she met and put an entire lifetime of love and joy into our hearts. On June 21, 2026, as she was fighting so hard, she was baptized bedside with all of her family present and was given her MiMi’s name as her baptismal name, Danielle, who she later joined in heaven for endless cuddles along with her daddy.

Born on December 13, 2020, Aria (affectionately known as RiRi) was a bright, creative, and joyful spirit. She had the sweetest voice and the fiercest spirit, our very own little sour patch kid.

She had just graduated pre-school at St. Pio, where she loved the bean bag chair and Mrs. Russo’s office eating her lollipops- everyone there loved her dearly. Aria had an infectious smile, loved the colors pink and purple, making dancing videos on the phone with her siblings, playing with makeup with her sister, watching Peppa Pig, Bluey and youtube with her brothers and sister. She always brought sunshine and laughter into the lives of everyone around her and she was known for always wanting to cuddle.

She will forever be our little angel and loved beyond the hands of time.

Mommy loves you more then you could ever understand and more than this world could ever measure. Your light, your love and your beautiful spirit will live on through us all.

She is and always will be deeply missed and forever loved by her parents, Alyssa Bunodono and the late Aliek Mack Shabazz Hooks; her siblings, Aamori, Khasir and Hasaan; her grandparents, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at the Pennsylvania Burial Co., Inc, 1327-39 So. Broad Street, Phila., PA 19147 (ample parking on premises) from 9AM to 11AM. A prayer service will follow at 11AM. Interment is private.
