Arthur W. Carrado (“Mr. Art”)
Arthur W. Carrado, 95, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his
family on December 20, 2023. Beloved husband of the late Theresa (nee
DiMenno); loving father of Joseph (Regina) and the late Arthur V. Carrado
(Deborah Dimartinis); loving brother of the late Lena Barone (Hank); and
cherished brother-in-law of Dolores Garadetsky (Sheldon) and the late Rita
D’Ambrosio (Frank). Also survived by his 7 grandchildren, 2 great-
grandchildren, and his many loving cousins, nieces, and nephews.
“Mr. Art”, as he was affectionately known by many former students at Stella
Maris School, was a friend to all, who would always lend a helping hand,
always have a story to tell, and invariably would always meet someone he
knew wherever he went.
In addition, he proudly served his country as a Corporal in the U.S. Army
during the Korean War. He will be missed, but his spirit will live on in those
whose lives he touched.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Thursday, December
28, 2023, from 9 to 10 AM at Stella Maris Church, 2901 S. 10th Street,
Philadelphia, PA 19148.  Funeral Mass begins at 10 AM.  Entombment
Calvary Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his
memory to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
