Carmela Tascione

Carmela Tascione (nee ContiBellocchi) Age 88. Passed December 23, 2021. Devoted wife of Dante Sr. of 57 years. Beloved mother of Rita (Mario) Favacchia, Rosario and Dante Jr. Loving sister of Gaetano ContiBellocchi, Maria Treppiedi, Elvira Treppiedi, Gioachino Treppiedi, Annunziata Treppiedo. Loving Nonna of Jessica, Carmelina and Dante. Also survived by loving nieces and nephews. Carmela was born in Randazzo (CT) Sicilia, Italy to Rosario Conti Bellocchi and Maria Antonia Furnari.  She immigrated to Philadelphia in 1963.  She worked as a seamstress for several different factories until she retired in 1983.  Carmela was a loving and compassionate person who would do anything for anyone.  She routinely lent a helping hand to family and friends whenever she could.Carmela was extremely artistic, one could say she had hands of gold.  Besides sewing, she enjoyed crocheting, knitting and needlepoint.  She made many beautiful creations throughout her lifetime.  Carmela adored cooking, especially for her family.  Her culinary skills were exceptional, Sunday dinner with the family at her home was not to be missed.  Carmela also liked to sing, mostly opera, while she cooked, sewed, or crocheted.  She definitely had a beautiful voice.   More than anything, Carmela loved her family.  She called her children several times a day when they were not with her. Her granddaughters, Jessica and Carmelina, were the apple of her eye. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Thursday 9:30 – 10:30 St. Richard Church 3010 S 18th St. Mass will begin at 10:30AM Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery. Cara sorella di Gaetano Conti Bellocchi, Maria Treppiedi, Elvira Treppiedi, Gioachino Treppiedi, e Annunziata Treppiedi. Amata nonna di Jessica, Carmelina e Dante. Sopravvissuto anche da amorevoli nipoti. Carmela è nata a Randazzo (CT) Sicilia, Italia da Rosario Conti Bellocchi e Maria Antonia Furnari. Emigrò a Filadelfia nel 1963. Lavorò come sarta per diverse fabbriche fino a quando andò in pensione nel 1983. Carmela era una persona amorevole e compassionevole che avrebbe fatto qualsiasi cosa per chiunque. Ogni volta che poteva, prestava regolarmente una mano alla famiglia e agli amici. Carmela era estremamente artistica, si potrebbe dire che avesse le mani d'oro. Oltre a cucire, le piaceva lavorare all'uncinetto, a maglia e ad ago. Ha fatto molte belle creazioni durante la sua vita. Carmela adorava la cucina, soprattutto per la sua famiglia. Le sue abilità culinarie erano eccezionali, la cena della domenica con la famiglia a casa sua era da non perdere. A Carmela piaceva anche cantare, soprattutto opera, mentre cucinava, cuciva o lavorava all'uncinetto. Aveva decisamente una bella voce. Carmela amava più di ogni altra cosa la sua famiglia. Chiamava i suoi figli più volte al giorno quando non erano con lei. Le sue nipote, Jessica e Carmelina, erano la pupilla dei suoi occhi. Parenti e amici sono invitati a partecipare alla visita Giovedì, 30 Dicembre, 9:30 – 10:30 St. Richard Church 3010 S 18th St. La messa inizierà alle 10:30 a.m. (16:30 orario Italiano).
