Catherine Nataro (nee Giuliano) of Philadelphia, PA passed away on August 14, 2025 at the age of 97. Catherine was a first generation American, born on September 5, 1927 to Gabriella and Luca Guiliano of Italy. She was one of four children. She is predeceased by her husband Natale Nataro; brother, Michael Guiliano of Riverside (Ginny), California; her two sisters, Mary Pagano (Frank) of Mt. Laurel, NJ and Gloria Stefano (Bob) of Vineland, NJ., and her furbabies, Wolfie and Jamie. She was a devoted, loving mother of two children; Carmen Nataro (Brenda), and the late Alphonse Nataro (Kim); four grandchildren, Kristen Ellis (Brandon), Brittany Nataro, Brandon Nataro and Dante Nataro, two great-grandchildren, Kora and Myla Ellis, nieces Barbara Pagano (Alvin), Iralee Barnard (Ken), Laura Stefano (Mike ), Karen Richey (Joe), Judy Reidel (Glenn), Irene D’Andrea (Dan); Nephews, Steve Pagano (Maryann) and the late Anthony Stefano; grandnieces, Lauren Pagano, Christina Reidel and Katie Richey and grandnephews Justin Pagano and Jeff Richey. Catherine was a proud graduate of J. W. Hallahan Catholic Girls High School and went on to work as a secretary in the Philadelphia school system for many years, where she made many friends, including her best friend in Jean and her life partner, George. She spent many happy years at (Barrett Junior High School) until her retirement. Catherine was very intelligent and had a great sense of humor, always making us laugh with her dry sense of humor. She was blessed with a long life and was devoted to her family, which was most important to her. She was always there when you needed her most. In earlier years, she enjoyed playing the slots at the Atlantic City casinos and the occasional bingo game. She was loved by her family and friends, and will be greatly missed. A service will be held at Baldi’s Funeral Home (Ample Parking on Premises) on Monday, August 18, 2025 from 8:30 to 10AM. Prayer Service will begin at 10AM. Interment will be at Beverly National Cemetery immediately following the service.
