Concetta R. DeStefano “Connie” (née DiCiurcio) passed peacefully on May 12, 2026, at the age of 86.
She was the devoted wife of Robert DeStefano for over 62 years and the beloved mother of John (Anne) DeStefano and Angela (Thomas) Bradley. Loving sister of Angela (Joseph) Scarpati and the late George DiCiurcio (Linda).
Connie was the cherished grandmother of Robert (Amanda) DeStefano, Talia (Jack) Taylor, Rachel DeStefano (Shane Thomas), and Robert Botto, and a proud great-grandmother of Rocco, Georgia, and Lucy. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
For more than 50 years, Connie made her home on the 1100 block of Wolf Street in South Philadelphia, where she lovingly raised her family and created a home filled with warmth, laughter, and tradition. She enjoyed sharing coffee around her kitchen table with family and dear friends, moments that became treasured memories for all who knew her.
Connie especially loved cooking for her family, particularly during the holidays when her home became the heart of family gatherings. Nothing brought her greater joy than being surrounded by her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whom she loved deeply.
Relatives and friends are invited to express condolences on Saturday between 10:30 and 11:30 AM at Epiphany of Our Lord Church. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:30 AM. Interment will be held at a later date.
