Cuc Nguyen

Cuc Thi Nguyễn departed this life for the next on Monday, March 8, 2021, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She was born on September 19, 1941, in Rach Giá VietNam. She was one of the oldest out of her 6 siblings. Before coming to America, she was in the Philippines where she was living in a refugee camp while raising her four children. In the Philippines, she accepted Christ and was baptized in Morong Bataan.
Years later her children and she immigrated to the USA on July 13, 1990 after the VietNam war. From the Philippines to the U.S. she settled in South Philadelphia from 1990 to this day. She became a permanent resident and US citizen on October 14, 2011. Cuc was employed by her talent skills of sewing so she tailored for the US Olympic Swimming Teams until the 9/11 event occurred. After getting laid off, she didn’t allow it to bring her down so she found work at America’s Best Eyeglass factory and worked for 20 years. The company relocated to Atlanta, Georgia that is when she retired.
Cuc is well known for her cooking skills and humor. As an independent mother, she was a hard worker and dedicated wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and great grandmother to her large family. She is very religious where she attends the Vietnamese Mennonite Church and has been a member til this day. She taught us how to be independent and strong and that family is everything. During retirement, she enjoyed staying at home as a housewife to capture more memories with her grands and great-grands. Cuc Thi Nguyễn passed away peacefully in her home at 80.
She is preceded in death by both of her parents; Nguyễn Thi Thiet & Nguyễn Văn Ngai Brother: Nguyễn Văn Lý, Nguyễn Văn Nam, & Nguyễn Văn Út.
Daughter: Cathy Eldridge. She leaves to cherish her memories of her Husband: Vittorio Cho. Sisters: Nguyễn Thi Bich Son, Nguyễn Thị Bích Lan, & Nguyễn Hoàng Anh. Children: Hoàng Nguyễn, Phương Nguyễn, Loan Nguyễn. Grandchildren: Kim Nguyen, Qui Nguyen, Marianne Nguyen, Dolly Nguyen, Tracey Nguyen, Jenny Nguyen, Tommy Eldridge, Brian Tran, Vicky Nguyen, Whitney Nguyen, Jennifer Le, Johnny Eldridge Le, Thomas Ho & Elizabeth Do. Great Grandchildren: Anthony Stroud Jr., Tina Nguyen, Mia Menendez, Hailey Nguyen, Mai Menendez, Niko Menendez, Rhythm Tran & to all newborn blessings.
