David Blackwell

David Charles Blackwell aged 64 of Philadelphia, PA passed away on June 6, 2025 at his home. Beloved father, grandfather, and friend. A long time contractor of Lindy properties whose hard work was only matched by his larger than life personality. Outside of spending time with loved ones he really enjoyed playing cards. David was an avid fan of rock and roll rocking out to Guns N Roses and the Rolling Stones. His favorite songs will continue to echo reminding those of the joy and energy brought to their lives. As a fitting tribute to his passion we can imagine him now rocking out to "Knocking on Heaven's Door". Predeceased by Dorothy Landowski & Arthur Blackwell (parents), and Shelby Greene (sister). Beloved father of Danielle Shaffer, David Charles Blackwell Jr., and Chelsie Blackwell. Proudest grandfather of Jordan Shaffer who held a special place in his heart. Loving brother of Nancy Kinsler, Rose Murphy, and Lenny (Jackie) Blackwell. Also survived by loving nieces/nephews, cousins, and friends (dearest Debbie Kornsey). Services and interment were private
