Donald Anthony, a former native of Philadelphia, passed away on March 2, 2019 in White Plains, NY. He is survived by his wife, Melody; his sons David and Damon; a daughter, Dara (Kapoor); sister Nancy (Fazio); and brother, Eugene. He was the loving grandfather of Robert, Mariah, Dominick, Leonardo, Adriana, Colette (Kapoor), and Layla (Kapoor).
Donald was born and raised in South Philly and spent his summers at the Jersey Shore. He played varsity football for South Philadelphia High School and won a scholarship to the University of South Carolina. Upon graduating from high school in 1957, he worked in printing
before going into sales and eventually launched two successful shipping businesses, 5-Star and later, DSI. Four years ago, he moved to White Plains, New York
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation on Friday Evening from 6:00 - 9:00 P.M. at the Pennsylvania Burial Co., Inc., 1327-29 S Broad St, Philadelphia. Funeral Mass Saturday, 10:00 A.M at St. Richard’s Church 3010 S 18th St, Philadelphia. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. No viewing Saturday Morning.
