Edward Decker

Edward A. Decker Jr., (Butch, Eddie, Ed), 72, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 13, 2016 at 7:18 pm. Those that knew him know how he battled against his medical issues, but the Lord won and took him to finally rest.
Edward, a devoted son to Edward Decker Sr. and Mary Buemi, loving father to 4 (Denise Lanci, Robin Ricci, Christopher Decker and Tracey Ahearn), Grandfather to 9 (Richard & Gia Lanci, Nicole Super, Alicia Hughes, Robert Ricci, Marisa & Christina Decker, Brittney & Brandon Decker) Great Grandfather to 4, (Devon Angell, Bella and Italia Ricci, Conner Hughes, Savannah & Anastasia Super), Brother and In-law to (Judy and Richard Nardella, Rosetta and Anthony Abbruzzese, Joe and Karen Decker), Uncle and of course, friend to many!
Eddie lived life to the fullest. A tough, but fun loving man who loved to travel and loved sports! An avid golfer and pool player (fast Eddie), he is best known for his witty, biting humor; his love of the sea and boating. Those that knew him will not be sad by his departure, but will celebrate the life he led.
Ed will be cremated and a memorial service will be held at Baldi Funeral Home on Broad and Reed Streets in South Philadelphia. The service will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm. All are welcomed to attend and share stories to celebrate his life. At a future date, a memorial will be held and Ed’s ashes will be released at one of his favorite places, the Wildwood, NJ. The family will communicate more details at a more appropriate time.
In lieu of Flowers, contributions are suggested to the family for Final Expenses. Or, please donate to the American Lung Association.
