Eleanor Ciarrocchi

Eleanor A. Ciarrocchi, formerly of South Philadelphia, PA, passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024 at the age of 98. She was born to Anthony and Florence Viesti in 1925.

Eleanor worked for the Defense Supply Agency in Philadelphia and retired in 1980 after 32 years. Never one to sit still, Eleanor went to work in various shops on Passyunk Avenue.

She and her beloved husband, John, loved to go dancing.  After John’s death in 2006, Eleanor enjoyed taking Casino bus trips with her friends.

You never encountered Eleanor without getting one of her big smiles.  Eleanor spent the last two years of her life in Woodview Estates Assisted Living in Mays Landing, NJ where she loved to join in all the activities and sit chatting with the ladies in the pub.

Eleanor is predeceased by her sister Dolores Scoppa and brothers, Joe, Gabriel and Tony Viesti.

Although Eleanor and John did not have any children of their own, they were loved by their many nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Saturday 9:30 – 10:30 BALDI FUNERAL HOME 1331 S. Broad St. (Ample Off-Street Parking) Funeral MASS will follow viewing 11AM Annunciation BVM Church 10th and Dickinson St. Entombment Holy Cross Cemetery.

Due to the weather, the office will be closed. Any flowers can be delivered on Saturday morning
