Father James Tursi

TURSI
FR. JAMES, Jan. 14, 2016, age
~ 94, of Phila. Retired Priest who once served in the Augustinian
Order stationed in Rome, U.S.,
and Switzerland. He was the
Pastor of Holy Rosary Catholic
Church, Kenosha, WI and served
5 yrs. at SS. Cosmas and Damian
Church in Conshohocken. He
retired to care for his late
sister Agnes and was a great
favorite at S.W. Senior Center
where he acted as their "poet in
residence." Fr. James was a
graduate of the University of
Pennsylvania earning his
Master's degree in chemical
engineering before entering
into the priesthood. Fr. James
was a veteran of WWII having
served with the US Armed
Forces as a technician during
the atom bomb test at Bikini
Island.
