Frank A. Anastasi, ordained in the Norbertine Order in 1971, passed away on April 29, 2020. He was 73. After leaving the Norbertine Order in 1977, he created a Tutoring Service with specialties in Mathematics, the SAT’s, Writing and Study Skills, French and Latin. He also taught basic business courses and skills and was an Instructor in the Continuing Education Department at Villanova University (1984 – 1986). In addition, he taught Social, Ethical andReligious Issues at the Notre Dame de Namur Academy High School in Villanova (1975 – 1976) and at the St. John Neumann High School in Philadelphia (1969 – 1976). Father Anastasi earned a Master’s Degree in Education at LaSalle University (1974) and a Bachelor of Arts from St. Norbert College (1969). His publications include “Strategies for Learning” and a related workshop taught at over thirty-five college and university campuses nationwide, including Villanova (PA) and Fordham (NY) Universities. He is the son of the late Frank and Elizabeth Anastasi.
He is survived by his beloved sister, Mary, and two brothers, Marcello (Cecilia) and Lawrence (Nancy) and many lovingnieces and nephews. He will be remembered fondly by his friends and family for his love of life and family and for his humor and many interesting intellectual discussions. It is clear that his life and work has had an important impact onhis many friends, students and colleagues. He has left this world in a better place than he originally found it. Services and Interment will be private.
Contributions in his memory can be made to the National Shrine of St. Rita in Philadelphia, PA. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date.
