Frank J. Mostaccio "Zeke"

Frank J. Mostaccio “Zeke” passed away on October 29, 2025. He was the devoted husband of Kathleen (née Durso) for 63 wonderful years. Cherished father of Lisa (Joseph) Donoflio, Denise Mostaccio (Joe Mondeaux), and Frank III (Eileen Verdi).

He was preceded in death by his beloved siblings Josephine, Rita, Joseph, Teresa, and Eleanor. Frank was the loving grandfather of Samantha (Joseph) Palladino and the proud great-grandfather of Joseph and Giovina. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A lifelong resident of South Philadelphia, Frank spent his career as a dedicated prosthetist, specializing in measuring, designing, and fitting custom prosthetics to meet the unique needs and lifestyles of his patients. He began his craft at just 15 years old at Coco Bros. and later retired from Moss Rehabilitation, where he earned deep respect for his skill, compassion, and commitment to helping others.

Frank was a true craftsman at heart. His basement woodshop was his sanctuary, where he lovingly built model schooners, dollhouses, and other treasured pieces for family and friends. A proud philatelist, he also enjoyed collecting stamps and sharing his enthusiasm for the hobby.

He cherished crabs and macaroni in the summertime, vacations to Ocean City, and—above all—monthly family dinners, where he was surrounded by everyone he loved and by all who loved him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Wednesday from 8:30–10:30 AM at Pennsylvania Burial Co., Inc., 1327–29 S. Broad Street (Ample Off-Street Parking Available). A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Church, 9th and Hutchinson Streets. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
