George Lukaitis

George Joseph Lukaitis

December 27, 1931 – April 22, 2024

My beloved husband and our devoted dad peacefully passed away on April 22, 2024.

George is survived by his loving wife of 70 years, Rita (nee Solino); children Brenda, Loretta (Hunt), George (Eileen “Lynn”), and John (Nicole); grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces; and nephews.

George was born in Scranton, PA to his parents Frank and Catherine (nee Kislus). He enlisted in the U S Navy during the Korean War and honorably served for four years. He was a long standing Teamsters member and later retired at 80 years old with the City of Philadelphia Department of Aging. He was proud of his Lithuanian heritage and enjoyed country music, fishing, and woodworking. He leaves us with a lifetime of wonderful memories.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his Funeral Mass 10:00 am on FRIDAY morning at St. Mary Magdalen de Pazzi Church, 8th and Montrose Sts. His interment will be private.
