Gertrude Duerr

Gertrude "Trudy" Duerr left this world on February 24, 2017 to be in eternity with her husband Gere. Trudy was born on January 29, 1936 and is predeceased by her parents David and Gertrude as well as her brother David. She was an avid golfer and proponent of the arts. Her class and impeccable taste for the finer things in life were second to none. Trudy volunteered her time at the Kimmel Center where she was able to help others to build an appreciation for orchestra, concerts and theatre. She had a deep love for her great niece Megan and great nephew Andrew, always supporting their pursuits and endeavors. Trudy will be greatly missed by Megan and Andrew as well as her nephew Jim and his wife Kristen, nephew John, brothers John and Robert, and sister in law Dora. Trudy also leaves behind many dear friends in the Philadelphia area and William Penn House. A memorial service will be held on Saturday March 4 from 12 pm to 1 pm with a prayer service immediately following. Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts, 300 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA 19102
