Giovanni A. Migioia passed away on July 5, 2025 at the age of 80. Known for his warm, gregarious nature and infectious sense of fun, he brought joy and energy to every room he entered. As a proud, longstanding member of Bricklayers #1, Giovanni took immense pride in his craft and was admired for his dedication and work ethic. He often reminisced fondly about his childhood in Italy, sharing stories that reflected the deep love he had for his roots. A passionate fan of the Philadelphia Eagles, he rarely missed a game and cheered for his team with unmatched enthusiasm. He enjoyed his time at the gym and maintained a strong, active lifestyle. Alongside his beloved wife, he loved traveling to the Dominican Republic, cherishing the sunshine and the memories they created together. At home, he had a green thumb and was especially proud of his towering fig tree — a symbol of both his heritage and his nurturing spirit. He is the beloved husband of Maria Isabel Martinez LaChapel; Loving father of Vanessa (Jeff) Andricola, Monica Migioia, and Gabriella Migioia; Dear stepfather of Banyile Soto (David Baez) and Alex Soto; Grandfather of Ava, Christian, Elise, Deyvi and Deylin; Brother of Rita (Pino) Manzi and Bruno and Egidio Migioia. Giovanni is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.His family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday morning, July 12th from 10:00am to 11:00am at St. Monica's Church, 17th and Ritner Sts. Funeral Mass begins at 11:00am. Interment PrivateIn lieu of flowers donations can be made in his memory to Glioblastoma research at gbmresearch.org
