Huy Dinh Diep, was born in Hanoi, Vietnam on May 29, 1950 and peacefully passed away at age 71 surrounded by family on November 27, 2021. He survived the Vietnam war and immigrated to the United States in 1978. Though he spoke little to no English, Huy had his natural ability to socialize with his infectious smile and warm personality; which in turn, helped him create a new foundation with people from all walks of life. In spite of the many hurdles life put in his path, such as having to leave his first home in Vietnam, suffering a lifelong injury, and being diagnosed with cancer twice, Huy did everything to live his life to the fullest. He believed in exploring and experiencing life, which he did with every opportunity that was offered. Huy loved his small garden and enjoyed sharing his fruits of labor as well as gardening advice with those around him. His grandchildren were his world; he would have spent every minute with them, peeling and seeding grapes with the utmost care for snacks and teaching them how to walk and climb. He is remembered as a loving husband, wonderful dad, and doting grandfather who loved his family unconditionally and in his words “My family is number 1”. He is survived by his wife, two daughters, son, and four grandchildren.
