 James J. Doyle “Terry”, age 81, passed away on August 22, 2025. He was the devoted husband of Renee for 52 years and the beloved father of Michelle (William) Hagans, Shawn, Rosemarie, Michael, and Joseph (Alexis).

He is remembered as the loving brother of Catherine O’Callaghan, Michael (Lynne), Margaret Moore, Ginger Doyle, John, Daniel (Jean), and Florence Doyle Joann Weikel and Denise D'Angelo. He is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews, and predeceased by his siblings Joseph, Mary Ann Nevin, Patricia Doyle, Richard, William, and Robert.

Terry was the proud grandfather of William, James (Charlie), Sean, Thomas (Alyssa), Michael (Katelyn), Mikayla, Alia, Violette, and Troy, and he was the great‑grandfather of Faith, Gemma, Jade, and Stella.

A graduate of Bishop Neumann High School, Class of 1961, where he received an honors award for bookkeeping after high school he joined the U.S Navy, where he was stationed overseas in Japan, he also served aboard the USS Iwo Jima. He received the Good Conduct Medal in recognition of his honorable service. After his military service, he served as an electrical foreman at the Philadelphia Navy Yard working on the upgrading of aircraft carriers, destroyers and other vessels. He also worked alongside his four brothers at Abbott’s Dairy on McKean Street. Later in life he worked and contributed his expertise to the Philadelphia Housing Authority.

In his spare time, Terry enjoyed reading and was an avid horse racing enthusiast. Above all, he was remembered as a devoted family man whose unwavering love defined his life.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, August 29, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 Noon at Baldi Funeral Home, 1327–31 S. Broad Street (ample parking on premises). Interment will be private.
