James Wagner

James Gregory Wagner passed away unexpectedly on August 6, 2024.  He was born on March 6, 1965 in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois.  He was predeceased by his beloved mother, Anka Cronsnest Wagner, Aunt, Sally Jeanne Suddock, maternal grandparents Hans and Herta Gudd and his paternal Grandmother Lois Johnson Wagner Izard.

He graduated from Germantown Friends School in Philadelphia and attended Duke and Cornell, where he received a Bachelors degree in Psychology and Artificial Intelligence.  He had a distinguished career as a data base manager and web designer with an emphasis on User Interface design.

Nothing made him happier than playing his bass and singing with his bandmates in Shepherd Wong and the recipe, The Zipperbits and Dirty Lenin. He was always the life of the party.

Jim is survived by his father, Robert Leland Wagner, Syracuse, NY, Uncle Warren Suddock and cousin Ariel Catherine Phifer (David), Anchorage Alaska, his wife Anne Marika Verploegh Chasse and beloved Shiba Inu Momo, Brooklyn NY, his best friends Clarence Patton, Brooklyn, NY and Jeremy  Newton, Baltimore Maryland, step father Eric Neal, step aunt Darlene Neal, Step sister Tracy Neal and too many friends to mention.

Gifts in Jim’ smemory may be made to the Germantown Friends School, Philadelphia, PA or Cornell University, Ithaca, NY.
