To have known Joe was to know warmth, generosity, and unmistakable joy. His infectious smile and hearty laughter could lift any room, and he embraced those he loved with strength and sincerity, always making clear how deeply he cared. Joe held a lifelong passion for cars and proudly built his career around that love. Most at home in a garage, he focused intently on an engine while patiently explaining his work to anyone eager to learn. He was generous with his knowledge and even more generous with his time, always ready to lend a hand. As much as he loved repairing cars, he equally loved driving them, finding in the open road a sense of freedom and release - a quiet reset from the demands of daily life. Even in those moments, he approached the road as he approached life: bold, joyful, and unapologetically alive. In addition to his talent with cars, Joe enjoyed cooking and took great pleasure in preparing meals for those closest to him. The kitchen, like the garage, was another place where he gathered family and friends - sharing meals, laughter, and stories that stretched long into the evening. For Joe, these moments of connection were as meaningful as any accomplishment.Above all, Joe was a devoted son, brother, and uncle. He cherished his role in his family, offering steady support, humor, and encouragement to those he loved most. He will be remembered for his kindness, loyalty, and unwavering willingness to show up for others. He is survived by his loving parents, Jose and Herminia (née Silva); his siblings, Lou (Liliana,née DaCosta), Fernanda (Jorge), Auza Maria (Fernando), and Isabel (Laura); and his beloved nieces and nephews, Kayla - his goddaughter, Andre, Alexandre, Sara, Evan, and Nicolas. He also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends who will continue to honor his memory.  Relatives and friends are invited to his Visitation on SATURDAY, February 28th from 1:00pm to 4:00pm at The PENNSYLVANIA BURIAL CO., INC., 1327-29 S. Broad St. Phila., PA 19147. A funeral service and burial will also be held at a later date in Nogueira, Ponte da Barca, Portugal.
