Joseph M. Hamilton “Joe Bones” of Daytona Beach Shores Florida, formerly of South Philadelphia, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2023 at age 79. Beloved Husband of Joanne (nee Magliocco); Devoted Father of Colleen (Joe) Foderaro; Loving Grandfather of Joseph, Natalie and Nadia Foderaro; Brother in law of Roe Magliocco; Brother of Kathleen DiBattista and Uncle of Kathy Dougherty. Predeceased by his parents Bridget and Joe Hamilton.
Through the years Joe was a popular bartender at Arthur’s Steakhouse, Bellevue Stratford Hotel’s Library Lounge, Harrah’s Casino, Francine’s and many more popular clubs in Philly and South Jersey. He was an avid “Thoroughbred Racing” enthusiast. He and his friends traveled each August for 32 years to Saratoga.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing and funeral on SATURDAY morning from 9:30 to 10:30am at St. Paul’s Church, 10th and Christian Sts. Funeral Mass begins at 10:30am. Interment New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr NJ at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his memory to Ruth Newman Shapiro Cancer and Heart Fund, 102 N. 35th Ave., Longport, NJ 08403.
