Joseph D. Romagnoli passed away on January 27, 2025, at the age of 89. He was the beloved husband of Rosalie (née Brown), the loving father of  Marisa Kish, Jennifer Santore, and the late Kimberly Hartman (Derrick) and  dear grandfather of Michael (Katie), Nicholas (Lindsay), Katrina, and Jessica (Bryan). He was also a cherished great-grandfather to Skylar, Cody, Nathan, Mia, Logan, and Olivia. Joseph is survived by several nieces and nephews who live in Indiana, California, New Jersey and Pennsylvania.

Joseph grew up in South Philadelphia, where he attended Southeast Catholic High School and graduated at the top of his class. He then earned his undergraduate degree in Physics from La Salle University and completed his master’s degree at Drexel University's College of Engineering. In his youth, Joseph loved hanging out with friends on the street corners of South Philly and treasured his summers in Atlantic City.

Joseph progressed his career as an Electrical Engineer with RCA and ultimately retired from GE as a Radar Engineer. During his time at GE, he collaborated on government contracts with the US military and patented several of his inventions. Early in his career, he was even considered a potential candidate to become an astronaut.

Joseph was married to his beloved wife Rosalie for 42 years. They lived in Port Hueneme, California, Ocean Springs, Mississippi, and eventually settled in Blackwood, NJ. The two lovebirds met at a ski club in California and soon after, they were married. They shared many wonderful years together. They laughed together and watched out after one another.  Rosalie has been by his side these past few weeks.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Joseph had many friends and a wide range of interests. He enjoyed chatting on the phone, playing the stock market, visiting the Dollar General, skiing in his earlier years, and playing pool in his younger days. He was always inventing new things to make life easier around the house. Joseph loved sharing stories about his youth, and we cherished hearing them. A special shout-out goes to his many dear friends!
