Joseph "Joe Brown" Tartaglia

Joseph “Joe Brown” Tartaglia, 83, of South Philly, passed away on May 27, 2026. Born and raised on South 9th Street, Joe was the true definition of the Italian Market.

Joe was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Connie (nee Villari), and his two beloved sons, Joey and Frankie. He is survived by his loving grandchildren, Vienna, JoJo, and Frankie; his precious great-grandchildren, Princess Verona, Prince Bray, and Princess Luna; his dear sister in law, Lorraine (Tony) Mascino; and his niece and nephew, Francesca and Antonio.

A celebration of Joe Brown’s life will be held on June 5, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Pennsylvania Burial Co., 1327–29 S. Broad St., Philadelphia. All who loved Joe are welcome. His interment will be private.
