Judy Morrone

Judy Morrone (née Elliot) passed away peacefully on September 6, 2026, at her residence in Ventnor City, New Jersey, at the age of 91.

Devoted wife of the late John Marrone. Beloved mother of Melissa Morrone and Belinda (Gino) Novelli. Loving sister of Shirley Nichols. Judy is also survived by her loving nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

Born in San Diego, California, Judy made South Philadelphia her home for most of her life, where she raised her family and created many lasting friendships. Above all, Judy dedicated her life to her family, especially to the loving care of her daughter Melissa. Her devotion, compassion, and commitment to Melissa remained at the heart of her life.

Judy had a great love for music and dancing. Willie Nelson and Frank Sinatra ranked among her favorite artists, while jazz music held a particularly special place in her heart. Music brought Judy tremendous happiness throughout her life and reflected her lively spirit and appreciation for a good song.

Judy will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother, caring aunt, and treasured friend. Her love for her family and the many memories she created will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Thursday from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM at Baldi Funeral Home, 1331 S. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19147. Ample parking is available on the premises. A Prayer Service will begin at 12:30 PM. Interment will follow at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
