Julia Mcdermit

Julia Ann McDermit (nee Zaidan) passed to eternal life on September 21, 2024 at the age of 89.Daughter of the late Emaline (nee Karam) and Joseph Zaidan.  Devoted wife of the late Dr. John McDermit.  Beloved Mother of Paula McDermit and dedicated Son-in-Law, Kenneth Keefer. Dear Sister of the late Peter Zaidan and John Zaidan.  Dear Sister to Diane Dahdah (nee Zaidan) and Yvonne Ackourey (nee Zaidan). Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Julia was a devotee to the National Shrine of St. Rita of Cascia. Her artistic backround, included Stain Glass creations, beaded bracelets and chaplets and drawing.  Also, she was interested in music, history and ancestry. Donations in Jula Ann McDermit’s name may be made to the National Shrine of St. Rita of Cascia, 1166 South Broad Street, Philadelphia, PA  19146.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Viewing Saturday 1 – 2PM in church Funeral Mass will begin at 2PM. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery. In lieu of flowers family request donations be made in her memory to St. Rita of Cascia Church 1166 S Broad St Phila. Pa 19146.
