Julie Scerati

Julie Scerati, aged 85, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025. She was the beloved daughter of the late Angelo and Lena (nee Tuono) and the loving sister of Barbara Guarnere and the late Louis, Peter, Vincent, Frankie, Pauline Firsoli, Silvia Costello, Gina Scerati, and Angie. Julie is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and cousins.

Julie began her professional journey at the age of 16, working as a seamstress for Pincus Bros. She later joined "After 6 Formal Wear," where she continued to hone her craft. In her later years, Julie dedicated over 25 years of service to Jefferson Hospital in the Environmental Department, where she played a vital role in maintaining the hospital rooms.

Outside of work, Julie found joy in cooking, with her signature dish being "chicken parm." She also delighted in her trips to the casino, particularly enjoying playing the slots at Caesars in Atlantic City, Harrah’s in Chester, and Rivers Casino in Philadelphia.

For most of her life, Julie resided with her sister Barbara, caring for each other and sharing a deep bond that brought them comfort and companionship.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects during Julie's viewing on Thursday from 10 AM to 12 PM at Baldi Funeral Home, located at 1331 S. Broad St. (Ample Parking on Premises). A Prayer Service will commence at 12 noon, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.
