Lena Pasquarello, a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished member of the S. Philadelphia community, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2024, in the city of her birth. Born on October 19, 1934, to Philip and Antoinette Filoso, Lena grew up in S. Philadelphia and remained a dedicated member of the community throughout her life.
In her early years, Lena attended school in Philadelphia and later went on to work for over 27 years, serving Phillies fans with Aramark. Her dedication and commitment made her a valued member of the organization.
Lena was a sales leader for over 30 years for Avon and had a passion for cooking, especially for her family, for whom she would do anything. She was a devout Catholic and took great joy in attending the same church her children graduated grade school from. Lena was a parishioner of Epiphany of Our Lord Church and found comfort and peace in her faith.
Lena's greatest joy in life was her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Ralph and the loving mother of Michael (Yen), Ralph Jr., and Philip (Paula). She was also a caring sister to Nicholas (Joan) Filoso and was preceded in death by Robert (Gloria) Filoso and Marie (Francis) Frumento. Lena was a doting grandmother to Amanda, Matthew, Philip, Nicole, Vienna, and Gianna, and a proud great-grandmother to Giavanna, Robert, Enzo, and Santo. She also leaves behind loving nieces and nephews who will deeply miss her presence in their lives.
Lena's life will be celebrated on Friday at Epiphany of Our Lord Church 11th and Jackson St., where relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing from 9 to 10 AM, with the Funeral Mass beginning at 10 AM. She will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Lena's memory to the Alzheimer’s Association 399 Market St. #250 Phila., Pa 19106, a cause that was close to her heart.
Lena Pasquarello will be remembered for her dedication to her family, her unwavering faith, and her years of service to others. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
