Liberata Cavallaro
May 13, 1937 — March 9, 2025
Liberata Cavallaro, affectionately known as "Libby" (nee Sambuco), peacefully passed away on March 9th, 2025, at the age of 87. She was the beloved mother of JoAnn (Ignazio) Morgano and Maria (David) Wolf, loving sister of Sister Dolores Marie OSF and the late Camillo Sambuco and Theresa Niewinski. Libby was the grandmother of Melissa Morgano and Krista Morgano, and is also survived by loving nieces, nephews, and dear friends.
In her private moments, Libby found solace in reading and praying the rosary daily. She was a devoted Philadelphia Phillies fan and cherished her summers along the Jersey Shore, particularly in Sea Isle and Ocean City. Libby took delight in her trips to Italy, embracing her Italian heritage and culinary delights. However, above all else, she valued the time she spent with her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects to the family between 9 AM and 11 AM on Friday at St. Monica Church on 17th and Ritner St. A funeral Mass will commence at 11 AM, and Interment will be held at a later date privately.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Libby's memory to The Assisi House 600 Red Hill Rd., Aston Township, Pa 19014.
