Lisa passed away after a courageous battle with metastatic lung cancer. Born to the late Angelina (nee DeSimone) and Michael Cozzi, she was also predeceased by her brother, Michael Cozzi Jr.She is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Wes) Bailey; her ex-husband, Gary Costello; her loving twin sister, Gina (Robert) Novelli, with whom she shared an unbreakable bond; and her sisters, Grace Faiella (James Powers) and Donna McCormick. She is also survived by her niece and nephews, Faith (John) Fanelli, Robert (Danielle) Novelli and Robert McCormick; and her great-nieces and great-nephews..Lisa wished to also express a special thanks to the Procopio family, whose love and support during her illness meant so much to her.A heart transplant survivor who had thrived for years, Lisa faced cancer with extraordinary courage. In her own words, she said, “I’m doing it my way.”Lisa loved spending summers at the Jersey Shore, listening to the oldies and singing. Her greatest joy, however, was going to the casino and playing the slot machines, a pastime that always brought her joy.Lisa faced her illness with remarkable strength. Her resilience and warmth touched everyone who knew her, and she will be deeply missed and forever remembered.The family wishes to express their gratitude for the overwhelming love and support during this difficult time and asks that services be kept private.
