Lucy Monte

Lucy Monte (nee DiFalco) passed away on December 17, 2025 at age 101.  She was a devout Catholic, a devoted wife, and a loving mother and grandmother whose family meant everything to her. She was generous in spirit and heart, always finding joy in caring for others and bringing family together, especially while hosting dinners filled with love and laughter. She enjoyed crocheting scarves, trips to the casino, and singing while sharing a few drinks with family—particularly her favorite, limoncello. A loyal fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies, Lucy followed her teams with pride and enthusiasm and will be remembered for her faith, generosity, and the deep love she had for her family. She is the Beloved Wife of the late Dominic; Loving Mother of Joseph (Molly) Monte, Lucille Monte, Michael (Susan) Monte, Diane (the late John) Tumolo, and the late Lucille, Joseph and Edward Monte; Dear Grandmom of Dominic (Brenda), Timothy, Amanda (Paul), Karen, Emily, Frankie, Kristen (Aaron), Joe (Colleen), Michelle, Michael (Melissa), Heather (Daryl), Jessica (Matthew), Michael, Eddie, Dina (Bryan), and Alyssa (Tim). She is survived by 29 Loving Great Grandchildren. Sister of the late Connie, Mary, Lilly, Frank, and Joseph; Sister in law of Sydney. Also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and her loving neighbors. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing and funeral on MONDAY morning from 9:00am to 11:00am at The Epiphany of Our Lord Church, 1121 Jackson St., Phila., PA 19148. Funeral Mass begins at 11:00am. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her memory to Epiphany of Our Lord Church at address above.
