Margaret “Peggy” Ulatouski, age 77, beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend, passed away unexpectedly and peacefully in her sleep on January 8, 2026.
Born on June 14, 1948, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Peggy was known for her warm heart, generous spirit, wisdom, and wonderful sense of humor. She had a lifelong love of painting and photography and found her greatest happiness in time spent with her family and close friends.
Peggy possessed a rare gift for making people feel seen, valued, and deeply loved. Her home was always open, her kitchen the center of countless gatherings, and her presence brought comfort and joy to everyone around her. She never missed a birthday, anniversary, or milestone, and her thoughtful cards, phone calls, and words of encouragement meant the world to those who received them.
Above all else, Peggy treasured her family. She cherished holidays, family celebrations, and quiet moments at home, creating memories that will be held close forever. Her life was defined by love, kindness, and togetherness.
She is survived by her loving daughter, LisaMarie Ponzio (Alex); cherished granddaughter, Gianna Scavetti (John); devoted brother, Joseph Cascioli (Sandy); and beloved nieces, Missina Schallus (Shawn) and Stephanie Scott (Wendy).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret “Dolly” and Salvatore Cascioli; her sister, Jacqueline Schallus; and her spouse, Joseph Gallerani.
A viewing will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026, at Pennsylvania Burial Co 1327 – 29 S. Broad St. Phila., Pa 19147 6 – 8 PM (Ample Off Street Parking Available), in South Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Funeral services and burial will also take place on Friday, January 23, 2026. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their last respects from 9:45 to 10:45 AM, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM at Saint Vincent de Paul Church 5021 Harding Hwy. Mays Landing, NJ.
Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Mays Landing, NJ.
Peggy will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
