Maryann Marsella

Maryann T. Marsella (nee Vitale), age 64, passed away on October 3, 2026.

Daughter of the late Domenick and Mary Vitale and devoted wife of the late Alexander Marsella. Beloved mother of Alexis (Adam) Girardo and Lindsay (Greg) Johnson. Loving sister of James (Donna) Vitale, Florence (the late Charles) Standiford, Josephine (Mark) Tustin, and Concetta (Jake) Kennedy. Cherished Mom Mom of Ava, Alaina, Michael, Alex, Julie, and Matthew. Maryann is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Maryann dedicated 28 years of her career to Jefferson Hospital, where she worked as a manager in the billing department. Away from work, she enjoyed cheering on her Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies and spending time at the casinos, where roulette and poker slots ranked among her favorites.

Above all, Maryann treasured her family. Nothing brought her greater happiness than spending time with her children and grandchildren, especially the Sunday dinners that brought everyone together around the table. Those gatherings, filled with family, conversation, laughter, and love, created memories that will continue to be cherished for generations.

Maryann will be remembered as a devoted wife, loving mother and Mom Mom, caring sister, aunt, cousin, and loyal friend. Her love for her family and the happiness she found in having everyone together will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Wednesday from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM and Thursday from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at Baldi Funeral Home, 1327–31 S. Broad St., Philadelphia, PA 19147. Ample off-street parking is available.

Her Funeral Mass will follow on Thursday at 11:00 AM at St. Paul Church, 10th and Christian Streets, Philadelphia. Interment will follow at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.
