Michael Day

Michael T. Day, beloved husband, father, and grandfather passed away on January 15, 2024, after a brief battle with brain cancer. He fought as hard as possible but was spared the worst of his terminal diagnosis. He received excellent care from the nursing staff at Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia just a few blocks away from his home.

Born in Brooklyn, NY in 1950. Michael was a fine student at LaSalle Academy in NYC. He was an Eagle scout and a member of the Order of the Arrow and raised his sons in the Scouting tradition. He attended St. John's University in Brooklyn, NY where he met Patrice in 1969 who would go on to become his wife of 52 wonderful years. Mike was a career salesperson. He could sell anything; from cars to taxi rides to contact lenses, bread, and pharmaceuticals. He was good with people and could talk to anyone about anything.  He loved music, art, travel and above all his family.

He is survived by his wife Patrice. Son Timothy and daughter-in-law Christina, son Jonathan and daughter-in-law Cassandra. Granddaughters Lillian and Summer.  Sister Mary and brother-in-law Jim. Brother-in-law, Jeffrey, and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

His family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday February 3, 2024 from 1:00PM to 3:00PM at The PENNSYLVANIA BURIAL CO., INC., 1327-29 S. Broad Street, Philadelphia.  Prayer Service begins at 2:00PM.  Interment private.
