Minh Ly Profile Photo

Minh Ly passed away on April 6, 2022.  He survived the Vietnam War and escaped as a refugee by a boat which collapsed in the South China Sea, forcing him to swim to Hong Kong shores alongside his brother. He eventually came to America in search of a better life.  He was a hardworking, self-less man who was willing to drop everything to help anyone in need. Despite having endured many hardships, he always wore a smile and believed the best in people. He was a great machinist, craftsman, and inventor. He has made many great gadgets whether it was for aiding him at his job or at home. A few of his favorite hobbies were gardening and crafting flashlights. We would find him tending to his wife’s pear tree, in the backyard gardens, or tinkering with electrical boards in his basement workshop after work.  He will be dearly missed. Minh is survived by his wife and four children, who will carry on his legacy.
