Nicole Ballard Profile Photo

Nicole Denise Ballard, born on June 13th, 1980, passed away suddenly on January 26, 2025, at the age of 44. She was the devoted daughter of Karen (nee Howell) and the late Alfonso C. Ballard III, the beloved mother of Landris Holloman, and the loving companion of Chuck Davenport. Nicole was the sister of the late Alfonso C. Ballard IV and Alonzo Lamar Ballard, and the granddaughter of Carolyn Ballard (the late Alfonso), the late Janet Howell, and James Williams. She was also the niece of Natalie Wallace, Robin Howell, Dwayne Howell, Trina Ballard, Tracey Stevenson, and Talonda (Darren) Alston and the late Barry C. Gillins. God daughter of Dr. Soraya Coley, Lieutenant Colonel Ron Coley and Rose Denny. She leaves behind nieces Bahiyah, Aries and Abbee Ballard. Nicole is survived by many loving nieces, nephews, great uncles, aunts, cousins, and numerous friends.

From her early years, Nicole was known for her intelligence and no-nonsense attitude, earning her the nickname "Colie Weber." She possessed a unique blend of class, sass, and style, always exuding beauty and confidence, with the most exquisite nails that caught everyone's eye. Nicole was a perfectionist, ensuring that every task she undertook was executed flawlessly. Nicole was an excellent cook and one of the most creative people you ever knew.

Education held a special place in Nicole's heart, attending a mix of public and Catholic schools and graduating from Parkway Center City in the class of '98. She continued her academic journey at Norfolk State University, Pierce Junior College, and Phoenix University, earning a Baccalaureate Degree and Two Master's degrees. Nicole was fiercely loyal to her beliefs, standing on her ground until presented with concrete facts.

Professionally, Nicole made significant contributions at institutions like Phoenix University, Amira Health, Flagship, and Philadelphia Gas Work, although she was adamant about being recognized for her accomplishments rather than her familial associations. To those who knew her as Nicole, Colie, or Cole, she was an epitome of strength, loyalty, and kindness, with the most beautiful smile that brightened the lives of all who crossed her path.

Nicole will be deeply missed but forever remembered for her remarkable spirit and lasting impact on those fortunate enough to have known her.
