Philip Mancuso

Philip M. “Phil” Mancuso passed away on February 11, 2021 at age 84. Phil was owner/operator of Mancuso’s Cheese Shop, a staple on East Passyunk Avenue in South Philadelphia for over 70 years. He was the Beloved Husband of Adelaide “Edda” (nee DeFazio) for 55 years; Loving Father of Lucio “Anthony”, Philip “JoJo”, and Robert (Nicole) Mancuso and is also Survived by his many Loving Grandchildren. Phil devoted his whole life to making cheese and keeping his customers happy; but his real passion was singing opera and entertaining his friends and family. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him. Relatives and Friends are invited to his Viewing and Prayer Service on MONDAY Evening from 6:00 to 9:00 at The PENNSYLVVANIA BURIAL CO., INC. 1327-29 S. Broad St. Prayer Service will begin at 7:30pm. His Interment will be Private. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his memory to The National Kidney Foundation, 1500 Walnut Street, Suite #301, Philadelphia, PA 19102.
