Quoi Du

In loving memory of Quoi Du. Quoi passed away on 10/8/2025 at the age of 89. Beloved husband of Lan. Loving father of Nicky and Michele. Loving father-in-law of Marcelo. Dearest Gong Gong of Lais, Raiden, Ryu, and Renji. Survived by his loving sister Sanh Du, his in-laws, his many nephews and nieces in the Philadelphia and Boston area. Predecease by his parents and younger sister Xin Du.

Quoi was born in China and grew up in Ho Chi Minh City Vietnam. Where he met his beautiful wife, Lan. They were refugees and immigrated to Philadelphia in the late 70’s. He worked at the Hershey hotel for a few years until he saved up enough to open up a corner grocery store in the early 90’s. He was a grocery store owner for about 25 years and was well loved + respected by many in the New Bold community. Quoi was a loving, caring, patient, kind, happy, hardworking and generous human being. His smile and personality would light up a room. He was a tremendous father, husband, gong gong, and friend. Quoi was a very hardworking man and got a chance to enjoy retirement as well. He got to visit some cities in Asia and in Europe. He enjoyed himself at the casino. His pride and joy were his family. Both of his kids graduated from college. He loved his Lan very much and have been together for more than 60 years. No words can explain the love he had for his grandchildren. Quoi will truly be missed by his family and friends.
