Robert Ferrandino passed away suddenly on December 30, 2025, at the age of 78.
He was the devoted husband of Marlene (née Massaro) for over 54 years, and a beloved father of Robert (Monica), Luke (Julia), and the late Eric. Robert was a loving brother of Anthony (Joanne), Linda (Robert), and the late Rita Croce; a cherished grandfather of Giavanna, Alexander, Isabelle, Angelina, Josie, Claudia, Lucas, and Olivia; and a dear brother-in-law of Anthony (Cathy) Massaro and the late Michele Massaro. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Born and raised in South Philadelphia, Robert built a life rooted in family, tradition, and hard work. He proudly worked for many years as an electrician with Philadelphia Tram Rail, where he later retired. His greatest joy was his family—especially Christmas time, when he faithfully carried on the cherished tradition of the Feast of the Seven Fishes.
Robert loved the seashore and eventually moved with his wife to Ocean View, New Jersey, to be closer to the beach. He spent many peaceful hours sitting on the bench at 43rd Street and the beach, the very bench that bears the name of his beloved late son, Eric.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Saturday, January 10th, from 9:00 to 10:00 AM at St. Rita of Cascia Church. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests donations be made in Robert’s name to St. Rita’s Church 1166 S. Broad St Phila., Pa 19146
