Rose Ventura

Rose Ventura (née Dieni) passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026, at the age of 95.

She was the beloved wife of the late Armondo Ventura, with whom she shared 50 loving years of marriage. Loving mother of Jerry (Jayne) Ventura and Rosemary (Lance) Besaw. Cherished sister of Lucy (Louis) Belcastro and the late Joseph (Maria), John (Michelina), Pasquale (Florence), and Mary Falcone.

Rose was the proud and loving grandmother of Venee (Robert) Rodano, Alyssa (Jason) Colon, Michele (Nicholas) Palumbo, Andrea (Kyle) Mazzei, and Vincent (Dana) Besaw. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren, along with many loving nieces and nephews.

Rose worked for many years at Fidelity Bank at 13th and Moyamensing, where she later retired. A woman of deep faith, she had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother and faithfully prayed the Rosary every day.

Most of all, Rose treasured her family and loved spending time with them. Whether gathered around the table for holidays, Sunday dinners, or simple everyday moments, she found her greatest joy being surrounded by those she loved. Her warmth, devotion, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

In a touching reflection of their lifelong bond, Rose passed away exactly 20 years to the day after her beloved husband, Armondo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing on Friday from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Edmond Church, 2130 South 21st Street, Philadelphia, PA 19145. Funeral Mass will follow at 11:00 AM.

Interment will be held at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Rose’s memory to St. Edmond Church.
