Russell R. D'Alonzo Sr.

Russell R. D’Alonzo, Sr., age 80, passed away peacefully on November 26, 2025. He was the devoted husband of Dorothy “Dot” (née Casella) for 58 wonderful years, and the beloved father of Russell R. Jr. (Tracy) and Christina Regalbuto.

He was the loving brother of the late Daniel (Mary) D’Alonzo, cherished grandfather of Gabriella (Joseph) Haggerty, Jordan D’Alonzo, and Dean Regalbuto, and proud great-grandfather of Joseph and Emma. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Born and raised in the Italian Market area of South Philadelphia and a lifelong member of St. Paul’s Parish, Russell was a proud graduate of Neumann High School. He went on to earn an associate’s degree and a real estate license from Temple University.

Russell loved watching his beloved Philadelphia Phillies, sketching and drawing—a talent he first developed as a child at the Fleisher Art Memorial on Christian Street. Known in his family as “Mr. Fix-It,” he had a remarkable ability to repair anything—from household items to jewelry—and took great pride in his craftsmanship.

He will be remembered for his calm and patient demeanor, his dry sense of humor, and the quiet strength and love he brought to his family.

Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Baldi Funeral Home, 1331 S. Broad Street (Ample Off-Street Parking Available). Prayer Service Will Begin at 8PM. Interment will be private.
