Salvatore Dellapolla

Salvatore DellaPolla Jr., a Jeweler on Sansom Street for over 33 years, former owner of Sal’s Deli on 8th and Shunk Street, and known as Big Sal, passed away on February 21, 2023.  Loving and Devoted Father of Salvatore (Donna) DellaPolla, Marci (Ralph) Laino, and Frankie (Carol) DellaPolla; Loving Poppi of Tori (Jordan) and Talia (Nunzio); Dear Brother of the late Phyllis and the late  Joe and also survived by Loving Nieces and Nephews.  His family will greet relatives and friends on SATURDAY morning from 9:00 to 10:00 am at St. Rita of Cascia Church, Broad and Ellsworth Sts.  Funeral Mass will begin at 10:00am.  His Interment at SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery is Private.  In lieu of flowers donations can be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, 399 Market Street, #250, Philadelphia, PA 19106.
