Salvatore Peter Pelullo, also known as Sasha Pelullo, suddenly passed away on July 12, 2024, at the age of 29. He was born on October 26, 1994, to Salvatore Pelullo and Svetlana Pelullo in Huntington Valley, Pennsylvania.
Salvatore spent his early working years in kitchens across Philadelphia, pursuing his passion. Later in life, he dedicated himself to combating the drug epidemic in Philadelphia. Salvatore deeply valued human passion and found fulfillment in their life through community, seeing beauty in the ugliness of the world.
Sasha loved art, music, expressing herself, caring for others, lighting up peoples faces, and so much more. The love in their soul saved so many, and the wise words they brought upon others. She was a role model and a friend.
He is survived by his sisters Anna, Sophia (Volodymyr), and Lana, his brother Antonio (Nadjah); nieces and nephews Yulianna, Maximilian, Ruslan, and his goddaughter Adrianna; uncles Leonard (Lyn), Peter (Jane), Alex, and his godfather Arthur (Barbara); aunts Angela and his godmother Mary Louise; and grandparents Liubov and Orest. He is also survived by many loving cousins and his beloved cat Volya.
Salvatore was preceded in death by his grandparents Peter, Louise, and Alexander, and his cousin Robbie.
Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation and funeral on Thursday morning from 9:00 to 10:00 am at St. Paul's Church, 10th and Christian Sts. The funeral Mass will begin at 10:00 am, followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the Trans Youth Resilience Fund at Philadelphia FIGHT .
