Stephen Horvath

Stephen Horvath, age 72, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025. Son of the late Charles and Kathleen (nee Salera). He was the devoted husband of the late Connie (née Venuto), and the proud father of Melissa Horvath, Stephen Horvath, Leah Parker, and Joel (Autumn). Stephen was a loving brother to Carol Novelli and Lucille (William) Rizzo. Brother in law of Jo Ann Venuto. Grandfather of Alyssa, Andrew, Zayden, Zayla, Dylan, and Zane. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.

A proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Stephen honorably served his country with dedication and pride. A lifelong resident of South Philadelphia, he was well known in the community and worked for many years with Convention Cab Company. In his later years, he was cared for by the compassionate staff of Inglis House Care Facility on Belmont Avenue, who became an extended part of his family.

Stephen will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren, family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy of love, service, and devotion to his family will never be forgotten. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing Thursday 9 - 11AM Pennsylvania Burial Co. Inc. 1327 - 29 S. Broad St (Ample Parking on Premises) Prayer Service will begin at 11AM.
