Stephen Sulvetta

Stephen A. Sulvetta passed May 8th 2022 at the age of 85. Son of the late Stephen J. and Aida (nee Sorbo). Devoted husband of 64 years to Mae (nee Kessler). Beloved father of Donna Sulvetta-Student (David Jordan), John Sulvetta (Estella Agnes) and Stephen (Lisa) Sulvetta. Brother of the late John, Carmella Lucille, Alfred and Anna. Loving grandfather of John Student II. Also survived by loving nieces and nephews. Stephen was a retired Philadelphia police officer working on the force for 37 years. His career began in the 19th district (12th and Pine St.), in 1966 he became one of the original 6 of the Philly police stake out squad. He served in The Traffic Department for over 15 years and ended his duty in the 19th District (61st and Thompson Sts.) West Philadelphia. Stephen was involved in the Knights of Columbus (5th Degree Knight) and Sons and Daughters Of Italy Pa Custodes Pacis Lodge 2085. Stephen proudly served his country during the Korean conflict serving his country in the Armed forces. Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing 9 – 10 Thursday Holy Name of Jesus Church (Parish Center) 17 Earlington Ave. Mullica Hill, NJ 08062. Funeral Mass will follow 10AM. Interment SS Peter and Paul Cemetery. Springfield, Pa.
