Steven D. Fox

Steven D. Fox, a proud U.S. Navy Veteran and devoted family man, passed away peacefully on August 28, 2025, at the age of 65.

Steve was the loving father of Patrick A. and William J. Fox; cherished father-in-law of Narae K. Fox; and the beloved grandfather of Liam and Levi Fox. He was the devoted son of Barbara and the late William Fox; dear brother of Barbara, Bill (Dolores), and Paul (Toula); cherished cousin of Richie; and uncle of Sam.

From 1980 to 1986, Steve proudly served his country in the United States Navy as a radar operations specialist aboard the USS Iwo Jima, stationed out of Naval Station Norfolk. His service took him around the world, including deployments to Cyprus, Italy, Spain, and Lebanon, where he bravely assisted in the aftermath of the 1983 Marine barracks bombing in Beirut.

After his Navy career, Steve built an accomplished path in telecommunications. He worked with Bell Telephone Company and PictureTel before serving as Telecommunications and Service Delivery Manager at Pfizer, where he contributed during the company’s groundbreaking development of the COVID-19 vaccine. Admired for his tireless work ethic and dedication, Steve was respected by colleagues and friends alike.

Beyond his career, Steve lived a life full of joy and connection. He was an avid fisherman who loved being on the water and once owned his own boat, where many of his happiest days were spent. A loyal New York Giants fan, he cheered passionately for his team through every season. Easygoing and quick with a laugh, Steve had a natural gift for making people feel comfortable and welcome. He was the life of the party, the friend everyone wanted nearby, and the host of countless gatherings that brought family and friends together. His warmth, humor, and generosity created bonds that will be cherished forever.

Steve’s greatest pride was his family. He will be remembered not only for his service and accomplishments but also for the love he gave, the friendships he nurtured, and the joy he brought into the lives of those around him. His legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, and the many whose lives he touched.

His services and interment at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, New Hampshire are pending. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.  See link below.
