Theresa DeLuca-Brensinger passed away on September 12, 2026, at age 81. Born in South Philadelphia on Fairhill Street, she later moved to 6th Street between Wharton and Federal Streets. A graduate of St. Maria Goretti High School in 1963 she went on to receive an Associate degree in Liberal Arts from Delaware County Community College, a BA from Eastern College as well as a member of the National Honor Society in business administration and a member of Gamma Pi chapter and lastly a Master of Science in Administration from West Chester University. She was a member of St. Mary Magdalen de Pazzi Church when living in Philadelphia and attended St. Eleanor in Collegeville PA after marriage in 1998. A longtime employee of Defense Personnel Support Center in Philadelphia as a Contracting Officer negotiating and approving contracts for medical supplies. After retirement from DPSC in 2005, she worked numerous temporary contract jobs for Boeing, Lockheed, US Navy, Homeland Security, US Healthcare and Carney Group. She was independent, determined, and had a beautiful smile that lit up a room. Loved to laugh and loved spending time with her family. She loved music and dancing, Broadway musicals, and quirky comedies like the Marx Brothers and MST 3000. She loved flower gardening and also making Christmas and seasonal wreaths. She wrote an article about gardening that was published in the Philadelphia Inquirer. She liked to cook, loved to read and loved history; especially history of the English kings and queens. She enjoyed traveling with her husband David – Europe, Mexico, Caribbean, China, Israel, Egypt, Jordan, Peru, and numerous cities and states in the US. She is predeceased by her parents Charles and Josephine (nee Fornito) DeLuca, brother Raymond DeLuca and sister-in-law Antoinette (Barcelone), and sister Anna DeLuca. She is the Beloved Wife of David P. Brensinger, Loving Mother of Michelle (Kevin) Ballisty and Jacquelyn (Jeremy) Riess; Stepmother of David M. (Lori) Brensinger; Grandmother of Marcella Ballisty, Adrienne Ballisty, Aria Brensinger, Cassidy Brensinger, and Kaley Brensinger and Aunt of Robert (Kathy) DeLuca. Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation and funeral on SATURDAY September 19th from 8:30am to 10:00am at The PENNSYLVANIA BURIAL CO., INC., 1327-29 S. Broad St. Funeral Mass 10:30am St. Mary Magdalen de Pazzi Church, 712 Montrose Street, Philadelphia. Interment SS. Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield.
