Thomas J. Reynolds, loving friend, companion and husband of Rosalind (Cavaliere) Meyers for 37 years, passed away on December 17th, 2021, in Atlanta, Georgia, after an accident and brief illness. He was 79 years young and full of life and love. He is survived by his son Thomas Reynolds, who resides in San Francisco, his wife, Roz, who loved him more than anyone else in the world, his brother James Reynolds and his sister Sarah Grega. He is also survived by his stepson, Denzil Meyers and his loving sisters-in law and brothers-in-law, Ann and John Palaitis, Jeanne Binghm and Andy Hanko and Catherine and Henry Rossi.
Thomas attended LaSalle Preparatory High School and LaSalle University. After graduating the University, he attended United States Navy Officer Training School and Legal Justice School, then served as an Ensign and Lieutenant in the Navy. Lifelong Philadelphia residents, in 1995 Tom and Roz left the City because Roz had a great job opportunity at Georgia Institute of Technology. He was a wonderfully supportive partner and spouse.
Tom worked primarily in sales and manufacturing during his career and retired in 2009. Both before and after his retirement Tom and Roz traveled extensively, spending time in the North America, Europe, South America and the Islands. They loved hiking in Europe and the United States and cruising in the Mediterranean and the North Sea. They also loved spending time in Ocean City N J each summer.
During his high school and college years Tom was a dedicated and passionate rower for LaSalle. For over 10 years he was a volunteer at the Dad Vail Regatta, serving as Grand Marshall. His other hobby, which he picked up in his 60s and 70s, was needlepoint, at which he became proficient. He did many pieces with a nautical theme, as he loved the sea and was so proud of his naval service.
Relative and friends are invited to attend his viewing at Baldi Funeral Home, 1331 Broad Street at 8 to 9:30 AM on January 22nd. Mass at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church at 10 AM will be followed by interment at Holy Cross Cemetery in Yeadon, PA.
